Hammock World Advice for Parents

Supervise Children around Hammocks

Hammock World advises parents and caregivers of infants and children to always remain physically present and actively vigilant when children are using hammocks.

Customers should be aware of the hazards associated with small netting hammocks which can potentially be life threatening for unsupervised infants and children.

All infants and children must have continuous adult supervision when using any hammock.

Hammocks are designed for 'adult relaxation' and are not intended to be used as a swing or playing device for any children.

Documented evidence exists in the USA of injury and death caused to infants and children who have become entangled and asphyxiated in small nettings hammocks, also known as mini-hammock, while unsupervised.

Hammock World does not sell small netting hammocks in recognition of the above associated risks.
